This solution is the individual regeneration of each human being separately, through their precise knowledge of the purpose of Life, and their intelligent submission to the inescapable Laws which govern it.

INTRODUCTION

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,

I will try this evening to give you a quick overview of this Science so profound that I took the liberty of baptizing MENTAL TREATMENT, but which could just as aptly be called: SCIENCE OF LIFE.
My presentation will first begin with a definition as clear as possible of this vast subject; he will then show you the various branches, as well as the close links which connect them to these processes which are so familiar to you: Suggestion and Magnetism.
Then I will proceed to remove all possible doubts as to the practical value, as to the effectiveness of these methods, by pointing out to you in passing the primordial importance, as well as the extraordinary results of the Faith. Finally I will end with a most succinct description of the very Doctrine on which Mental Treatment, or the Science of life, is based, as it is practiced according to my system, which is moreover a simple modernization of conceptions dating back to the highest antiquity.
